National Peanut Board to Convene July Board Meeting in South Carolina

The National Peanut Board (NPB) will hold a Board Meeting and Annual Budget Setting Session from July 27–30, 2026, at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. Hosted in one of the primary peanut-producing states, South Carolina, the event will gather U.S. peanut grower representatives to review NPB’s organizational priorities and help shape direction for fiscal year 2027.

Board members will receive updates on the industry-unifying “It’s Not Nuts. It’s Peanuts.” brand and launch campaign that successfully rolled out this spring. The platform is designed to strengthen industry alignment, elevate consumer awareness and reinforce the unique value of U.S.-grown peanuts.

A key portion of the meeting will be the review and approval of NPB’s FY-27 Program of Work and corresponding budget, which will guide the organization’s activities beginning Nov. 1, 2026. Through committee discussions and Board deliberations, members will evaluate the upcoming focus areas that will best support U.S. peanut farmers through promotion, research and industry engagement.

Board members will also participate in a South Carolina tour designed to provide insight into the state’s agricultural heritage and community impact. Tour stops include the South Carolina FFA Camp, L.W. Paul Living History Farm and the Horry County Museum.
